Completed Projects FAQ
Quick answers about the projects you see on this page — plus a few trusted resources if you’d like to read more before requesting a quote.
What types of completed projects do you show here?
We include real External Wall Insulation and External Rendering projects — including Silicone Render, Self-Cleaning Render, Sand and Cement Render, Monocouche Render, Traditional Ashlar Cut Effect Sand and Cement Render, All Types of External and Internal Verical Surface Finishes, and Mostly Fabric-First Energy Efficiency Measures across Kent and South East London.
Do you have before-and-after photos for every project?
Yes — almost every project has a few photos. Some older jobs have fewer images, but newer projects will include more progress and finished photos as we update the gallery.
Can I visit a completed project locally?
Yes — many of our previous customers are proud homeowners, and some have given permission for their addresses to be shared with potential customers. For privacy reasons we don’t publish addresses publicly, but we can share approved addresses with your quotation where appropriate.
What render systems do you use?
We work with well-known UK render and EWI systems and specify the right option for your property, exposure, and the finish you want. Where relevant, we use systems that are independently assessed and certified. You can read more about product approvals from the British Board of Agrément (BBA).
Is external wall insulation suitable for my home?
It depends on your wall type, the condition of the substrate, and sometimes local planning considerations. We’ll advise after a quick look and recommend the most suitable approach. For general guidance, the Energy Saving Trust’s external wall insulation guide is a helpful resource.
Do I need planning permission for external wall insulation or rendering?
Many projects don’t require planning permission, but it can depend on the property type, the area, and whether the building is listed or in a conservation area. You can check the official guidance on GOV.UK planning permission. If anything is unclear, we’ll guide you during the quotation stage.
How long does an external wall insulation or rendering project take?
Timeframes depend on the size of the property, access/scaffolding requirements, and weather conditions. Many homes are completed within 1–2 weeks, while larger or more detailed projects can take longer.
Will external wall insulation change the look of my home?
Yes — in a good way. EWI adds a new exterior finish and can significantly improve kerb appeal. We’ll help you choose colours and textures that suit the style of your property and the local area.
What’s the difference between silicone render and monocouche render?
Silicone render is known for flexibility, water resistance and long-term durability. Monocouche render is a through-coloured, cement-based finish often used for a traditional textured look. We can recommend the best option based on exposure, aesthetics, and budget.
Can you match the finish to my existing brickwork or neighbouring homes?
In most cases, yes. We can advise on colour and texture options to keep the finish sympathetic to the surrounding properties while still giving your home a clean, modern upgrade.
